Adyar Ananda Bhavan is a chennai based chain of sweeat-meat shop /restaurant.
Last night, i happenned to visit the newly opened Adyar Ananda Bhawan near the Advaith Pertrol Bunk at BTM.
Apart from Sweets & Snacks one also get awesome Tamilian food along with North Indian food. The coconut chutney was really fresh even at 10.30 PM. Sambhar neva tasted better. It was so yuuummmmy and so original, it tasted like home-food. The Sambar one gets in Bangalore, is usually red in color ( thanks to chilli powder) and is devoid of vegetables and dhaal. I ordered an Onion Dosa and realized what I’ve been missing in life. : ) I’ve been thinkin about shifting from BTM, now I have second thoughts…. 
The tiffin was better than Krishna Kafe! Wonder what Saravana Bhavan is upto?

When I was in chennai, the Sangeeta Restaurent in Guindy was my favourite eat out. Even though Sangeeta is a chain of restaurents, and i have tried eating from most of their outlets, I found the Guindy food more tastier. Their Pongal was my all time favourite. When i went back to chennai last April, I made a point to eat there for old time sake.
Saravana Bhavan was my second favourite. Especially the anna nagar outlet. Never tried the Adyar Ananda Bhavan. My favourite sweet shop was always Krishna Sweets in T Nagar.
Here in pune some time back we went to the most popular and crowded south indian joint to relish on some dosas and vadais, and to my dismay, the dosas tasted like pan cakes and medhu vadas like bread. Forget about the sambar. I miss my Chennai days and the awesome food.
Btw is the Sweet – “Meat” shop intentional?? Like Aasai Dosai???
Aw man, now i want to really to to Sangeethas asap. Lets go to AAB when you come to Blore. Am not sure if Pune provides you with namma ooru sambaaru. Sweet Meat was unintentional.

The sambar is yummy because of some important ingredients like bandaid…. Yes it is true and not a joke. Today i bought ‘kara dosa’ from A2B – BTM Layout and there was a ‘bandaid’ inside it. So be careful with the ‘yummy’ tastes…
